In the first five months, Spanish footwear exports exceeded pre-pandemic levels

The Spanish Shoe Industry Association (FICE) has published the export data for the first five months of this year, and it shows that the amount of shoes exported in the first five months of this year was higher than the pre-pandemic level. In the first five months, Spain's footwear exports totaled nearly 1.25 billion euros, up 19.2 percent from the same period in 2021 and 3.3 percent from the same period in 2019.

Compared with pre-pandemic data, Spanish exports to key footwear markets such as France, Italy and Germany rose 7.2 per cent, 8.4 per cent and 9.1 per cent, respectively.
